Dr. Mitzi Hines
“I love treating baby teeth and look forward to having fun with the little ones who own them. I cherish each moment I get to learn about my patients as I strive to create fun experiences and positive memories." When she was younger, Dr. Mitzi Hines traveled to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip and experienced the impact of cleft palate and lip repairs. She knew she wanted to have that kind of impact and decided to attend dental school. While in school, she fell in love with pediatric dentistry and the honest little smiles she served. She wanted to create an environment where children could receive top level care and have fun at the same time. A Columbus, OH native, she put herself through college as an enlisted member of the United States Air Force as a member of the Ohio Air National Guard. Attending The Ohio State University, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree. Continuing her education, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. She finished her Air Force career as a Captain and completed her residency at UH Medical Center and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. Spending time with her family is her favorite thing to do. She loves to engage in her children’s interests so they can have fun together. After a long day, her puppy snuggles are the only therapy she needs. She also enjoys raising monarch butterflies and watching the bluebirds and hummingbirds that visit her house.
